Like all GPS devices that have a locally stored map, it is necessary to regularly update the R-Link 1 map so that the system can calculate a consistent route.
The mapping is installed on the SD card. To update it, you must take it to connect it to a computer (remember to eject the R-Link 1 card properly from the configuration menu or the option menu of the home screen)
Free update map for R-Link 1?
When the R-Link 1 was launched, users could download an update of their mapping for the first year free of charge.
Since 1 January 2017, vehicles delivered since this has a 3-year subscription for new maps. Which gives right to about 6 updates! In this case you are warned in the vehicle in the vehicle when a new update is available.

How update my R-Link 1 map?
It is in the R-link store that you will buy new maps.
When clicking on an article you get a description of the map. Do not hesitate to go down in the pop-up to get the details of the product including the version of the proposed map.
If you have the message “Insufficient free space on SD cards” go to the menu “My applications and services” Then manage my products.
Click the SD card.
You can then uncheck the old map, check the new map and click on “Synchronize”.
Once you’ve made your purchases, you can click “Launch My Downloads” on the R-Link Toolbox.
